Saving in the summer, my life.

Hey there.

Today I was off from work, and can you guess what I did? Well, I went shopping of course, because that is what everyone should do on their day off, kidding. However, I did go to the Round Rock Outlet Mall and shopped at one of my favorite stores, Cotton On. I absolutely love that store not only for the style, but also for the prices. Shopping on a budget, is my favorite and best talent. This afternoon, I found some skirts for $2.00 each, a dress for $5.00, a pen for $1.00, and two notebooks for $2.50 each; that is what I call a successful shopping trip. The skirts I purchased are light weight and perfect to wear in the Texas summer heat. The notebooks have such a fun covers and they will be perfect for taking notes at church.

In another note, dressing in this heat can be a struggle for most; but do not give in to the running shorts and tank look. Today, I wore denim shorts from Cotton On, a lightweight tank from The Gap, a gold watch from Charming Charlie, stackable rings from Madewell, a pair of gold crystal stud earrings from Chloe + Isabel, an Aztec printed belt from Target, and a pair of navy with white dot Keds from Madewell. Styling was so simple, I did a “front tuck” to show off my belt, used a few accessories to play up my casual outfit, and finished it off with a fun comfortable pair of shoes. Summer days are when people choose to be lazy in their styling, but you do not have to succumb to that; I believe that you can be comfortable, and stylish at the same time. All you have to do, is breathe, look at all of your options, and consider a little help from me or anyone with fashion knowledge.

Meanwhile, there was this older fellow who was waiting outside of store. He was very classic in his attire; he had a white button up tucked into a light weight pair of sky blue bell bottoms. My sister snapped this shot, unfortunately, you cannot see his full outfit; but assume he was representing his personal style; I respect it.
